Before you apply
Do you have puppies available right now?
Our Puppies & Litters page is always current. It shows the puppies available now and the litters coming up, and we update it ourselves whenever a puppy is reserved.
How big will my puppy get?
Based on our dogs and previous litters, our Miniature Golden Doodles grow to about 20–35 pounds, Standard Golden Doodles about 50–65 pounds, and Standard Poodles about 50–60 pounds. These are estimates. Adult size varies from puppy to puppy and can’t be guaranteed.
What does multigenerational mean?
A multigenerational Golden Doodle comes from Golden Doodle parents, several generations into the breed, rather than a first cross between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. Ellie Mae and Dash Riprock are both Golden Doodles, so their Miniature puppies are multigenerational. Each litter lists its generation.
Do Golden Doodles shed? What about grooming?
Shedding varies by puppy and by coat. Many Golden Doodle and Poodle coats shed very little, but every coat needs care. Regular brushing at home and a professional groom every six to eight weeks keep your puppy comfortable and healthy, and we’re happy to talk through what that looks like for the coat you choose.
Are the parents health tested?
Our parent dogs are genetically tested through Embark for Breeders (DNA and health). Honey Bunny is DNA profiled through the AKC DNA Program. Each dog’s page on Meet Our Parents lists their testing.
What are their temperaments like?
Our puppies grow up in our home with daily attention, affection, play, and socialization from Cecil and me. Each puppy has a personality of their own — some playful, some gentle, some happiest curled up beside you — and we get to know them so we can help your family choose a good fit.
Price & reserving
How much is a puppy, and how does the deposit work?
Every puppy is $2,000, whether Miniature Golden Doodle, Standard Golden Doodle, or Standard Poodle. Once your application is approved and you’ve signed our puppy agreement, a $500 deposit reserves your puppy. The deposit is applied toward the purchase price, leaving a balance of $1,500 due at pickup. Deposits are non-refundable.
Does the deposit reserve a specific puppy?
Yes. Deposits are accepted after the puppies are born, so your deposit reserves a particular puppy. Before a litter arrives, you’re welcome to join our waiting list for birth announcements and availability updates — joining the list doesn’t reserve a puppy or require a deposit.
How do I reserve a puppy?
Start with the application. We’ll talk, you’ll review and sign our puppy agreement, and a $500 deposit reserves your puppy. Then you’ll get photos and updates until go-home day.
Bringing your puppy home
What vaccinations will my puppy have?
Puppies go home with age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming and a veterinary exam. Their records come home with them to share with your own veterinarian.
Are puppies started on crate and potty training?
Yes. While they’re with us, our puppies get age-appropriate introductions to crate time and potty routines, with patience, encouragement, and plenty of practice. We share each puppy’s progress with their family individually. Your puppy will still be learning when they come home, so you’ll continue those routines, but they won’t be starting from scratch.
How do we bring our puppy home?
Puppies are ready to join their families beginning at 8 weeks of age. Pickup is from our home in West Tennessee, and travel arrangements can be discussed.
What comes home with the puppy?
Veterinary and vaccination records, a supply of their current food, a blanket, a toy, and a copy of the signed puppy agreement. See Health & Care.
Do you offer support after our puppy comes home?
Yes. The relationship doesn’t end on go-home day. Reach out with any question about your puppy, at any age, and we’ll be glad to help.
